Home pediatric IV therapy allows the child to be discharged sooner from the hospital or avoid initial admission. This service alleviates the anxiety which hospitalization causes for the family and the child. The child can remain in the home environment and the family unit is not disrupted. Administration of all therapy types, including antibiotics, hydration, chemotherapy and blood modifiers can be administered safely in the home. Family members or caregivers will be instructed on a variety of infusion methods. Our skilled Nursing and Pharmacy staff will provide supportive and informative services pertaining to the use of all equipment and medications.

There are additional pediatric services available from our Apothecare Division. Our skilled compounding staff can alter the taste, color and method of application of various medications to make them more acceptable to the pediatric patient.
